Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville makes EFL Championship Team of the Week with WhoScored ratings revealed

Leeds United enjoyed another thrilling weekend in the Championship after their rampant 3-2 win over Norwich on Saturday (21 October) and they had Crysencio Summerville to thank.

The Whites fought back from 2-0 down at Norwich City as Daniel Farke’s return to Carrow Road ended in a stunning Championship win on Saturday (22 October).

After going two goals behind in the first half at Carrow Road, a Shane Duffy own goal was followed up by a superb Summerville double to secure the Whites a 3-2 win and as a result, the Dutchman was deservedly named in the EFL Championship Team of the Week [23 October].

The Elland Road sensation bagged his third and fourth goals of the season in an action-packed display at Carrow Road and was given the “Highest” rating of any player with a 9.5/10 [WhoScored].

Farke could lose him in Jan

Daniel Farke has made Summerville his main man, and that became even clearer after his game-winning contribution at Norwich over the weekend.

As per SofaScore, the Dutchman deservedly picked up the best average rating of any player on the pitch at 9.4/10 but his all-round display at Carrow Road which highlighted why he is one of the first names on the teamsheet and Farke’s main man at Elland Road.

Summerville recorded a whopping six key passes throughout his 89 minutes on the pitch, successfully completed five of his six dribbles, won eight of his duels, registered four shots, 11 touches in the Norwich City penalty area, seven passes into the final third and recovered the ball five times in a complete performance.

The Athletic journalist Phil Hay reported on 23 October that, Leeds United were said to be transparently open to offers for the high-flying Dutchman over the summer and he could well have quit if not for his advisers who persuaded him to stay, and he agreed.

Burnley made a late offer that was rejected, while Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Feyenoord were also taking a look and it won’t be a surprise to see these clubs return with an offer in January. Summerville may well be tempted by the lure of the Premier League again.

In other Leeds United news, Jon Newsome was full of praise for one player in particular against Norwich.
