Leeds United slammed over ‘truly dismal’ Daniel Farke sack development
Leeds United have continued to come under fire as Daniel Farke was linked with the sack.
The 48-year-old could be set to lose his job at Elland Road despite guiding his side back to the Premier League this campaign.
A 6-0 win against Stoke City booked a place in the promised land, but might not be enough for the German to have a chance in the top division next campaign.
It is fair to say that this has been met by a mixed reaction in LS11, with many being left baffled by the thought process of the hierarchy in West Yorkshire.

Leeds United face backlash for Farke sack reports
There is no doubt that the former Schalke boss has done a positive job since taking over after Leeds’ relegation back in 2023.
Despite losing in the playoff final against Southampton last season, there was enough to be excited about at Elland Road this campaign.
Goals from Joel Piroe were enough to fire the Whites to promotion, while the German managed to get the best out of the likes of Jayden Bogle and Ethan Ampadu.
Regardless of this, Farke’s reputation from his time at Norwich is playing its part, and it looks like he could face the sack.
This goes against what Paraag Marathe said ahead of promotion, and as a result, it is no surprise that the chairman is facing criticism.
Andy Dunn has echoed complaints towards the likes of the 49ers in an article with the Daily Mail on 24 April.
He said: “Should Leeds United replace Daniel Farke now that he has taken them into the Premier League? It was the sort of mildly preposterous suggestion that might get a bored punter to call in.
“But somehow-somehow – it appears to have got a bit of traction. As we say in the trade, it might have legs. Really? The premise to the idea is a simple one. Previously, Farke has taken a team down from the Premier League and struggled in a second stint in the top tier so move to Plan B straight away because you know Plan A is going to fail.
“It is a truly dismal premise. Sack a good man, sack a good coach, just because you think someone else might keep you in a particular division?”

Farke deserves Premier League chance
Ironically, Marathe has previously mentioned that Farke wasn’t afforded a fair opportunity in the top division at Carrow Road.
Norwich were doomed to fail regardless of the form of Teemu Pukki and Emi Buendia in yellow and green, and as a result, Farke was always going to struggle.
Daniel Farke | Leeds United | Norwich City |
Games | 102 | 208 |
Wins | 59 (58%) | 88 (42%) |
Draws | 24 | 47 |
Losses | 19 | 73 |
With a much better squad at Leeds, plus the backing of the 49ers and Red Bull, there is every chance that he could succeed this time around.
He has done enough to be given the chance, it will be interesting to see if the Elland Road hierarchy affords him that opportunity or not.
