Leeds United: Sky pundit wowed by what ‘fantastic’ Georginio Rutter did v Millwall
Jobi McAnuff was wowed by what Georginio Rutter did to set up the second goal for Leeds United against Millwall on Sunday (17 March).
Speaking on Sky Sports after the game on Sunday, the pundit said it was a “fantastic bit of skill” from the 21-year-old forward as he rolled a Lions defender and laid the ball across the box for Dan James to double the Whites’ lead.
He added that the French U-21 international put in on a plate for his teammate as Daniel Farke’s side secured a 2-0 victory at Elland Road.
“Another set-piece situation that I’m sure Neil Harris won’t be happy about,” said McAnuff. “But once they get in this situation, really good bit of play there, and Rutter fantastic bit of skill.
“He actually uses his body and his strength to just roll Tanganga and then Dan James, we all spoke about it, that extra bit of composure.
“This man here, so hard to stop, skilful, carries the ball so well but also has that physical presence to do that and puts it on a plate in the end.”
Leeds United secure another win on road to promotion
It was another huge win for Leeds as they moved to the top of the Championship table with the three points over Millwall.
While they only sit at the summit on goal difference and Leicester City still have a game in hand, it will no doubt provide everyone at the club with an even bigger confidence boost.
It was important for them to pick up a victory and respond to Ipswich Town’s convincing 6-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday (16 March) as they sit just one point behind the top two in third.

The Whites were set on their way in the first half by a superb strike from Willy Gnonto before Rutter’s brilliant bit of skill set up James to seal the points.
The Frenchman has been in excellent form this season after Farke has instilled an awful lot of confidence in him as the West Yorkshire club go in pursuit of promotion back to the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are ready to sell a midfielder for £10.3million after what he told the media.
