Leeds United situation on Wilfried Gnonto revealed as Everton eye transfer

Nothing will change the mind of Leeds United as they aim to keep Wilfried Gnonto despite interest from Everton, according to Corriere Della Sera.

The Italian media outlet reported on its website on Thursday (17 August) that the Italian continues to train away from the rest of the squad.

However, this is not enough for the club to sell him and nothing that happens in the coming days will see them give in to the will of the 19-year-old.

Good thing

Gnonto woke up way too late in the window to make his intentions clear about leaving the club.

Daniel Farke time and again said that he did not want to keep players that do not want to stay at Elland Road.

However, the Italian looked like he was happy at the club, trained in pre season and even featured in the first game of the new campaign.

Farke already planned his team with Gnonto in mind so for things to change this late, Leeds need to be compensated really well.

It remains to be seen if Everton give up their pursuit or continue pushing for his services as he appears to be very high on their radar.

Gnonto will do well in the Championship and from a Leeds point of view, they’ve got to keep him at the club.

In other Leeds United news, the club could look to rekindle their interest in a Golden Boot winner who Daniel Farke will love and it will take £15million to get the deal done.
