Leeds United show no sign of slowing as 'huge' transfer report shared

Leeds United are displaying no signs of slowing down in the summer transfer window despite already making three new signings, according to a Leeds Live report.

The Whites have added Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Mar Roca to their squad as they look to put the 2021/22 disaster season behind them.

Don’t expect the business to stop as Jesse Marsch and co look to strengthen the squad further ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

“Gaping holes in the squad have been filled and if reports elsewhere are to be believed, the recruitment drive is showing no signs of slowing down,” the Leeds Live report reads.

“Investment serves to underline the faith the club have in Marsch, too, who did come in for some criticism from fans during the run-in. The early business ensures the American will be given as much time as possible to work with and integrate his new recruits on the fields of Thorp Arch.

“There’s still plenty of work to do and a lot can happen between now and the transfer window slamming shut at 11 pm on September 1, but right now Leeds are making huge strides towards progress and their third signing of the summer only reinforces that notion.”

Massive.

It looks as if the Whites chiefs have learnt from the major mistakes they have made in the previous two windows or at least they have taken notice of continuous grumbles coming from the Elland Road faithful.

The West Yorkshire side worked extremely hard to get back to the Premier League after such a long absence and after such an impressive first term back in the topflight – all of the hard work seemed to be thrown down the drain.

Second season syndrome is an extremely strange concept but a very real one at that and Orta and co completely failed to combat it.

Leeds needed signings desperately ahead of the 2021/22 campaign and the plethora of injuries and covid cases served as a bitter wake-up call for the clubs’ chiefs.

Thankfully, they are seemingly out the other side and have learned from the experience by making several impressive signings as well as being in the market for even more.
