Leeds United share Daniel Farke announcement after Premier League promotion

Daniel Farke guided Leeds United to the Premier League this season, finishing the campaign as champions of the second tier.

The Whites did take a dip towards the end of the campaign, but Farke’s decision to make a change in net paid off and the side rejuvenated.

Nevertheless, there have been doubts over the future of the German at Elland Road, with suggestions that the 49ers are concerned about his previous record in the top flight.

Farke lands top LMA award

Amid the speculation surrounding Farke’s future, the 49ers have spoken out in support of their manager, stating that they will stand by him.

However, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t worries behind the scenes, with the 49ers knowing how vital Premier League survival is to their long-term sustainability as a club.

While worries are valid, Farke should have more financial backing this time round than he has had before and the side currently has a good mix of experience and youth, with some additions needed.

Any worries could be put to rest, too, after Leeds United announced via X (28 May) that the German has been awarded the League Managers’ Association award as Championship Manager of the Year.

After the job he has done this term, it only seems fair that the owners show him financial backing in the hope of success next term.

Farke knows what he needs to do at Leeds

Farke is being given the opportunity to guide Leeds forward in the Premier League, rewarding him for his efforts this term.

Farke was rewarded for his efforts this term.

The boss is well aware that he needs additions, and work already seems to be well underway with plenty of players already being considered for moves to Elland Road.

Leeds are eyeing players with top-flight experience, in the likes of Callum Wilson and Jamie Vardy, while seemingly looking at those on the way up too, including Finn Azaz.

If the 49ers back him properly, the Whites will have the confidence to go and attack the Premier League with full energy, in the hope of retaining a position and breaking the newly promoted side curse.

If it doesn’t work out in the way planned, there will be tough decisions to make in West Yorkshire, but his award surely shows that he is deserving of the opportunity to achieve.
