Leeds United set to wrap up manager hunt as confidence of announcement grows in coming days

Leeds United appear to be ready to wrap up their quest to hire a new manager after a productive week of talks with candidates.

According to LeedsLive journalist Beren Cross, the announcement of the desired option could be wrapped around the takeover of which an announcement could be expected very soon.

Paraag Marathe and Angus Kinnear have met with managers in London this week and it remains to be seen who the next one is in charge of the Whites.

Via Twitter, Cross wrote, “Leeds United wrapping up their head coach hunt after productive week. Unveiling may be tied to formal takeover announcement, which club is confident about in the coming days.”

Good move

It’s been a systematic process thus far and the San Francisco 49ers era appears to be in full swing with this being their first major action.

They knew that they would have their work cut out post relegation and no manager but it’s interesting to see them moving quickly.

The transfer window is open and they would not want to waste any more time in finding the ideal man for the job so he can get on about the transfer business.

It remains to be seen who the desired candidate is as both Daniel Farke and Patrick Vieira have something about them that make them the ideal fit.

While one has experience of playing good football and securing promotions, the other knows the Premier League well and has managed to inspire confidence in a young dressing room – pretty similar to one at Leeds.

There are a few cons to their appointments as well so it’s not going to be the perfect option but they certainly are better fits than Scott Parker.

In other Leeds United, a BT Sport pundit has delivered an “Incredible” verdict as a frontrunner has emerged for the Elland Road hot seat.
