Leeds United set to make second bid for Arnaud Kalimuendo
Leeds United are getting ready to make their second bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, as per Get French Football News.
The website reported on 6 August that the Whites intend to make a “firm proposal” next week, after seeing their opening bid rejected.
The Whites are pushing for a deal close to a fee of €25million fee [£21.1million]. He is also being chased by Stade Rennais, but the player is undecided about his future.
The report adds that Kalimuendo’s PSG future remains unclear, despite a successful spell on loan at RC Lens. He could still be heading for the exit door.

Andrea Radrizzani admitted to The Atheltic that the Whites will look to sign a striker this summer, if there’s a quality player available.

Kalimuendo is still a wonderkid in all senses of the word, but he would be a very good addition to the club.
Patrick Bamford remains the first-choice option, but Jesse Marsch needs depth and quality in the attacking department.
He scored 21 goals in 65 games for Lens, and it would make sense to invest big in the young talent.
The only issue here is that Marsch will have to make sure that his arrival doesn’t hamper the progress of young Joe Gelhardt. In fact, that shouldn’t be the case. Both are very young, and they can represent the club for years to come.
Getting this deal over the line would allow Marsch to switch his game plans if needed. He can bring in two strikers if Leeds need to chase games.
Of course, the amount quoted for him is slightly on the higher side, but we all know that getting strikers on cheap is very difficult. To get a quality player, you need to pay a premium fee.
Leeds appear to be keen to get this signing done before the end of this month.
