Leeds United set to face Southampton amid dressing room turmoil for Ralph Hasenhuttl
Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is heading into the clash with Leeds United with his team in turmoil, according to Mail+.
The Saints were thrashed 4-1 at Tottenham on the opening weekend and welcome Jesse Marsch’s Whites who come in off the back of a fight-back win over Wolves.
But according to the latest report the Austrian manager has lost parts of the dressing room and coaching staff, with various wanting him out.
It says: “Sportsmail understands that some players spoke to members of the club’s hierarchy at the end of last season and expressed concern over Hasenhuttl’s management. Saints had lost 10 of their final 13 matches.
“The response was to change the entirety of his coaching staff, with the manager remaining in place, much to the surprise and disappointment of some within the squad.”
It later goes on to add: “Several sources have spoken to us about what they believe is a situation that will only be resolved by a change in the dugout.”

United boost
This can only be a positive from a Whites point of view if their opponents have opened the season with a miserable loss and sit bottom of the Premier League.
That sort of situation requires a unity to bounce back from immediately and it sounds like the exact opposite is occurring on the south coast currently.
If the report is accurate then it sounds like the kind of lost cause that can only see the manager being replaced, and surely raises the prospect of a relegation battle for Southampton.
After showing plenty of fight to come back from an early goal to win the opener at Elland Road, United are showing the sort of resolve that appears to be far cry from their next opponents.
With this report coming out only days before the game it has the potential to destabilise them even further and Marsch has to get his players ready to not give them any let up.
Leeds have to build on the positives of the first game and take advantage of the situation to the fullest to record a second win in what would be a very encouraging start to the season.
As much as Saints fans will no doubt be entirely miserable hearing the latest news, it seems like a golden opportunity for the Whites to benefit from.
In other Leeds United news, an update from Dharmesh Sheth should give the club a boost as they look to secure a new striker before the window closes.
