Leeds United set to complete Tyler Adams signing this week as he flies in for a medical
Leeds United are set to sign USA star Tyler Adams with the RB Leipzig midfielder flying into England on Tuesday, 5 July, according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.
Adams, 23, is set to become Leeds’ fifth summer signing, joining Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi at Elland Road.
Hay reported on Tuesday afternoon that Adams is flying in to undergo a medical and complete the transfer for £20million.
Adams is not alone in flying to Leeds to complete a transfer, with the Daily Mail also reporting in their print edition (5 July, p.69) that Luis Sinisterra flew to England last night to wrap up his move to Leeds.
The news comes the day after Leeds confirmed the sale of Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City, with Adams expected to be his direct replacement.

A much-needed overhaul
With the imminent arrivals of Sinisterra and Adams, with Mo Camara possibly to follow, Jesse Marsch’s squad overhaul is now almost complete.
It is not unreasonable to say that the small, tight-knit group that Marcelo Bielsa put together had run its course.
That squad had sustained them throughout promotion and two Premier League campaigns, but the infamous Bielsa burnout caught up with them.
Leeds were hit with injury crisis after injury crisis and because the squad was so small, they had no real reserves to fall back on.
Their new recruits add genuine squad depth as well as real star quality from the likes of Adams and Aaronson.
All the signs now point towards Leeds having a much stronger season than they had in 2021/22, with them not being so reliant on the outgoing Raphinha anymore.
While it is sad to see the squad that carried Leeds throughout much of the last four years be dismantled, it is undeniable that it is necessary.
In other Leeds United news, Chelsea are prepared to end their pursuit of Raphinha.
