Leeds United set for surprise December friendly, Man United also on agenda for team’s UK visit
Leeds United will be content with their start to the Premier League this season.
Daniel Farke hopes to keep Leeds in the Premier League, with the club currently on eight points from seven games this campaign.
Leeds face a PSR battle in January, which may see Farke receive little help in the upcoming transfer window.
Noah Okafor has been Leeds’ biggest positive this season, as Anton Stach has also given the Whites belief in survival.
Emerging updates now report some bizarre and unexpected news for Leeds that could be seen both as positive and negative.

South African side Kaizer Chiefs to face Leeds on UK tour
Leeds have suffered injuries this season and there’s no doubt more will follow in a busy winter period coming up.
Farke will want to keep his main men fit all season long if his side is to stay in the Premier League, but emerging reports of an extra game may or may not help the Whites.
According to Cape Argus’ print edition on 9 October, Diski Challenge (DDC) champions Kaizer Chiefs are set to face English Premier League competition on an 11-day tour of the UK.
The four-time South African champions are set to face Leeds on 2 December, which could come as a great opportunity for some of Farke’s fringe players to match sharpness.
- Kaizer Chiefs also play Manchester United on 28 November
- Leeds have never played against South African opposition
- They will also play Chelsea and QPR’s U21

However, the date has cause for concern, as it’s wedged in between a vital period of games for Leeds.
How does this impact Leeds’ fixtures?
Leeds will now play four times in seven days from 29 November to the 6 December, albeit with this friendly likely to be one in which fringe players and youngsters are used.
Opponent | Date |
Manchester City | Saturday 29 November |
Kaizer Chiefs | Tuesday 2 December |
Chelsea | Wednesday 3 December |
Liverpool | Saturday 6 December |
The fixtures come against three difficult opponents, and it may have been a tactical decision by Paraag Marathe.
Leeds will be able to use youth players should they wish, but fringe players are almost certain to feature, as it would be truly bizarre to see any main starters play in this game.
The last thing Farke and Leeds will need is more injuries, and even if fringe players pick something up, it will not help the Whites in the slightest.
It is not yet known if the game will be held at Elland Road or not, as there is a high chance it could be played at Thorp Arch.
