Leeds United set for January transfer nightmare with Cody Drameh exit on cards
Leeds United are set for a January transfer nightmare with an undesirable Cody Drameh exit potentially on the cards, according to Leeds Live journalist Beren Cross.
Drameh’s potential exit is a real sore note and has left many fans questioning the reasons behind the talented youngster’s apparent departure.
Cross confessed that Leeds United face a “nightmare” January transfer window if Drameh leaves Elland Road, presenting Jesse Marsch with an undesirable dilemma.
“The undesirable Drameh dilemma added another chapter last night,” Cross said on Twitter.
“January looms and that looks a nightmare to solve for Leeds at right-back.”
Interest speaks volumes.
Fabrizio Romano revealed on November 14 that numerous clubs were interested in signing Drameh from Leeds United, including Borussia Dortmund, Lille and Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle.
Further cementing his obvious talents, Drameh had a fantastic cameo appearance against Real Sociedad on 16 December.
Journalist Graham Smyth gave Drameh a match rating of eight and described the youngster’s performance as the “most impressive”.
Surely Marsch has to give Drameh a go in his first team now, it’s painful to think the Whites might lose such a promising talent in January if not.
He fits the bill for the kind of signing Leeds United should make but they already have him in their mitts, it would be foolish for the West Yorkshire club to let him leave.
Perhaps playing Rasmus Kristensen at left-back and Drameh at right-back may be the potion Marsch is looking for to get the youngster involved?
That might be a bit of a long shot, but the signs are there that Drameh needs to stay put at Elland Road for the foreseeable.
In other Leeds United news, talks are underway over this player quitting Elland Road for a high-paid contract.
