Leeds United set for decision on Raphinha future in 24 hours, Chelsea now lead the race ahead of Barcelona

Leeds United star Raphinha is set to make a decision on his future within the next 24 hours, according to the Evening Standard.

The newspaper has reported on their website that Chelsea are now big favourites to sign the Brazilian, as the transfer saga looks set to come to an end.

With the new season approaching, Barcelona are still yet to have submitted a suitable offer for the winger, it looks as though patience is now running thin for all parties.

As widely reported, Chelsea have already had their offer accepted.

Leeds have that £55million-plus offer on the table waiting to go from their Premier League rivals, who are no doubt becoming frustrated with this saga as well.

Interestingly, it is reported that Barcelona are now stalling and that Arsenal have still not given up hope of getting a deal over the line for yet another Brazilian.

Of course, it is down to Raphinha to make up his mind.

Get this over with.

Leeds jet out to Australia this weekend as they pick up their pre-season training plans, and it would be great to have the future of Raphinha sorted out before then.

He is leaving, we have all accepted that.

But, if this gets done before Sunday, Victor Orta will have big money to play with as he remains at Elland Road during this trip to bring in a new striker.

Imagine having more than £50million to play with just for a new number nine, it is something we have been dreaming of for years given our struggles through the past two decades.

Andrea Radrizzani has moved quickly to back Orta and that has seen our main business already concluded with six new signings in the door and ready to go on this tour with Jesse Marsch.

Now we just need one striker to complete the bunch, and being able to kickstart that hunt properly over the weekend would be just magical.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites now want to sign this striker with a rival set to kickstart a major £30million+ transfer battle
