Leeds United schedule press conference as Daniel Farke sack news emerges

Daniel Farke has lost the support of the Leeds United fans in recent weeks.

Farke is facing the sack at Elland Road, with defeats against Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa turning the mood sour in West Yorkshire.

Paraag Marathe has publicly backed Farke in the past, but little has come out of Leeds to suggest that the German is set to be sacked, yet.

Leeds fans have made up their minds, with a trip to Manchester City on Saturday, exactly not what was needed for the Whites at this time.

Leeds aren’t expected to sack Farke, and the latest hint has emerged on his future already.

Leeds United schedule Daniel Farke press conference

Farke is set to face the media on Thursday ahead of Leeds’ trip to Manchester City.

Adam Pope shared the news, with the German no doubt set to take questions on his future at Thorp Arch ahead of the 29 November showdown.

Pep Guardiola will be out for revenge after City crashed to a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Leeds will then welcome Chelsea and Liverpool to Elland Road, with the dreadful fixtures coming thick and fast.

What has Daniel Farke said about Leeds sack?

The press conference being scheduled as normal confirms the latest that Farke won’t be sacked, yet.

The former Norwich manager has not shied away from the possibility, though, admitting that he won’t waste a moment’s thought on that at Elland Road.

After the defeat against Aston Villa, Farke said: “We don’t speak about this topic.

“Not a topic I think one second about. Since I walked into this club, I’ve always said in every press conference, if you can’t handle the heat, don’t become a manager of Leeds United.”

Leeds are 18th in the Premier League and among the favourites to be relegated, but it’s not all doom and gloom.

West Ham are level on points with the Whites, with Nottingham Forest and Fulham within one win as well, meaning the race is still wide open.

Leeds just need to survive the next three games without too much damage, try and collect as many points as possible and see where they are heading into Christmas.

Will Farke be in charge then? Only time will tell.
