Leeds United reveal Crysencio Summerville transfer stance amid interest from Newcastle United
Newcastle United will be met with strong resistance from Leeds United over a potential transfer approach for Crysencio Summerville, according to TEAMtalk.
The online news outlet reported [3 January] that the Whites will be ready to reject any offers that Eddie Howe and Newcastle are planning for Summerville, who is their top goalscorer so far this season.
It is understood that Leeds have already revealed a “not for sale” stance over their flying Dutchman, with the Magpies reportedly attempting to find funds to afford players such as Summerville, struggling to regain their form in the Premier League.

The Netherlands Under 21 international is represented by the same agency as Eddie Howe, who also played a key role in Lewis Hall and Harvey Barnes’ move to St James’ Park. But the same will not be said about Summerville, with Leeds already making their feelings known over a potential move for Summerville.
A damaging potential transfer
Seeing Summerville depart Elland Road during the January transfer window would be devastating for Leeds and Farke.
The 22-year-old winger has tallied up 12 goals and six assists in 24 appearances this season, behind just Sammie Szmodics, Morgan Whittaker and Adam Armstrong above him in the Championship goalscoring list.
He is the club’s top scorer, three goals clear of Joel Piroe, and has the second-most assists too. There is little doubt that if Summerville were to leave in January, all hopes of Leeds gaining promotion back to the Premier League would be lost.

Summerville has been a force of nature, making it no surprise to see so much interest in him from Premier League clubs. But it also comes as no surprise to see Leeds so adamantly reject any offers for their star man.
As one of Farke’s first names on the teamsheet, he is almost irreplaceable. And since joining the Whites in April 2021, he has learned exactly what it means to be a Leeds player, shedding a tear as he earned his Premier League debut in 2021/22.
Newcastle are in desperate need of reinforcements after a huge drop in form from the start of the campaign, since being knocked out of the Champions League group stage and dropping down to ninth in the league.
However, it appears the Magpies will need to look elsewhere, with Leeds extremely serious about their stance on Summerville’s exit in January.
