Leeds United respond as Leicester City make approach for Jack Harrison transfer
Leeds United have shut down Leicester City’s transfer approach for winger Jack Harrison as deadline day sneaks up on clubs, according to 90min.
Harrison has been a crucial cog in the Leeds United setup ever since his arrival on loan from Manchester City in 2018, scoring eight goals in his last two Premier League campaigns.
The report claims that Leeds United want to offer Harrison a new and improved contract with the winger’s current deal set to expire in 2024.

“Leeds have knocked back a Leicester enquiry for winger Jack Harrison, 90min understands,” as quoted by 90min. (26 January)
“90min can also report that Leeds are confident that Harrison will sign a new contract, which is already being discussed. The 26-year-old’s current deal is due to expire in 2024.”

No surprise.
It’s no surprise teams are interested in Harrison’s signature especially with his current contract squabbles being ongoing with the Whites.
Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that unless Harrison forces a move out of Elland Road, he will be remaining a Leeds United player for the foreseeable.
Many fans will claim that the winger’s injury woes and recent poor run of form are enough to suggest otherwise, but he’s a decent player to have in the squad.
He played a key role in Leeds United staying in the Premier League last season and was absolutely fantastic in the relegation run-in.
With luck, he’ll be handed a contract that is worthy of a player who won’t be starting week in and week out for Jesse Marsch moving forward.
This is where a stumbling block might appear in renewing his contract, as it’s likely Harrison will demand more than what the club is willing to offer.
