Leeds United receive multiple calls from Manchester United for Raphinha

Leeds United have been repeatedly approached by Manchester United regarding the future of winger Raphinha, according to Sport in Spain.

The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in the ongoing transfer window with interest from a number of clubs in England and abroad.

As per the latest report, the Manchester-based club have approached Whites a number of times to enquire about Raphinha.

It is believed that the player’s agent Deco is keen to take the 25-year-old to Camp Nou with Barcelona interested in acquiring his services.

Erik ten Hag reportedly prefers Ajax man Antony but his new side have also shown strong interest in the Whites star.

Star player

Raphinha has been a real star for Leeds over the last two seasons and his departure will be a big blow for the club.

However, they should ensure that the Brazil international will not leave the club for cheap as reports suggested that his agent’s preferred option, which is Barcelona, are pushing for a deal less than £55 million because of financial difficulties.

It is the club’s top-tier management’s responsibility to ensure that they make the maximum amount of money from the departure of a player who will be extremely hard to replace.

Raphinha has been a Leeds player since making a move from French club Stade Rennais in the summer of 2020 in a deal worth £17 million [BBC].

Since then, he has been brilliant for the Whites where in 66 matches across all competitions, he has managed to score 17 goals and provided 11 assists [Transfermarkt].
