Leeds United ready to sign Connor Roberts as Burnley door may be open
Leeds United are pushing to sign Burnley defender Connor Roberts before the February 1 deadline next week, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper has reported on its website that the Whites, alongside Brentford and Feyenoord, are ready to sign an attack-minded defender.
Burnley are working on a £10.5million move to sign Montpellier defender Maxime Esteve, a deal that could open the door for the Wales international to leave.
Leeds and Daniel Farke are said to have asked if they prise Roberts away from Turf Moor before the deadline, with an initial loan deal on the cards.

Looking at the current options at Elland Road, as well as the injuries that are creeping up, Leeds need to push to seal some reinforcements.
Of course, the 49ers Enterprises always want the best deal available and will not be forced into spending, but there will be work underway to make these final days of the window efficient.
Roberts could be the perfect addition at right-back, with his attacking style perfect for Farke, as Archie Gray manages an injury issue picked up this week.
A loan move makes sense for all parties too, and Roberts will likely view Leeds as his best chance for regular football, compared to Brentford and Feyenoord.
With Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dan James at Elland Road already, a Wales reunion would make the move seamless for the defender to settle in instantly.
This is one to watch, and Leeds may put their foot on the gas now to get this one done if they can.
