Leeds United react to new attackers as sources speak out at Elland Road

Leeds United are happy with their attacking options despite some questions on their transfer window, sources have told Ben Jacobs.

The Give Me Sport journalist has reported that the Whites believe they have enough in their squad to fire them back to the Premier League.

Despite their indifferent start, Leeds have managed to win three of their last four games and look to finally be finding some sort of rhythm.

Speaking to Give Me Sport (27 September), Jacobs shared the hope from Elland Road between now and the end of the season.

“Leeds are actually quite happy, from what sources tell me, about their attacking options, and they’re hoping that multiple players get into double figures as far as goals are concerned,” he said.

“And if that’s the case, then the belief is, from Leeds’ perspective, they’ll have enough goals to get themselves back to the Premier League at the second time of asking.”

Leeds United need to continue winning

While the club have had the odd game this season where they’ve found themselves on the backfoot against teams such as Burnley and West Brom, the vast majority of their performances have been fairly decent.

The Whites had a massive overhaul during the summer transfer window and have had to get a fair few of their new arrivals to gel with the squad.

Despite being in the playoff places, pressure has been mounting around Farke since the start of the season and while he feels safe for now, if he can’t consistently beat the better teams in the league, Leeds may have no choice but to prematurely end his tenure [Leeds Live, 23 September].

The Whites have had their fair share of injuries already this season and with Max Wober now potentially needing surgery, it feels as if things are going to get slightly trickier for the club as the season goes on [Adam Pope, 26 September].

Here’s hoping that Farke can manage to continue the winning streak despite his dwindling number of players.
