Leeds United: Ray Parlour and Alan Brazil clash over title verdict in Leicester City admission

Leeds United will have Leicester City looking over their shoulder in the race for the Championship title between now and the end of the season, according to Ray Parlour.

Daniel Farke’s side currently sit second in the Championship table, six points behind the Foxes with 12 matches left of the season having beaten Enzo Marseca’s side 3-1 at Elland Road last time out at Elland Road.

While Parlour thinks the Whites’ recent form will have Leicester worried, he has closed with Alan Brazil live on air who has insisted that Ipswich Town remain in the race for the title as they sit level on points with Leeds.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Friday (1 March) he said: “Leicester have just got to look over their shoulder for Leeds United now haven’t they in the Championship.”

McCoist quickly hit back saying: “And Ipswich of course.”

Can Daniel Farke help Leeds United beat Leicester City to the Championship title?

The mood around Elland Road has been incredibly positive in recent weeks, partly because of the Whites’ remarkable comeback to defeat top-of-the-table Leicester City at Elland Road last time out in the Championship.

It wasn’t too long ago that some pundits and supporters were questioning whether or not Farke’s side had enough to win automatic promotion back to the Premier League, yet they are now well and truly in the title race.

Whether or not Leeds will have enough to close the gap to the Foxes over the remaining 12 matches of the campaign is yet to be seen, but they are now well and truly in with a shot of lifting some silverware this year.

Hopefully, Farke’s side will continue to go from strength to strength against Huddersfield Town on Saturday (2 March) and continue their push towards the top of the table.
