Leeds United: Rasmus Kristensen suffers thigh injury, ruled out for a month
Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen has suffered a thigh injury while at Roma and has been ruled out for a month, according to Roma News.
Writing on their website (6 March), the news outlet report that the Denmark international defender suffered the issue during the win over Monza at the weekend.
But a scan has now shown that the player has picked up an injury that will see him miss at least a month of action, potentially landing a blow in his hopes of earning a permanent move.
“After the injury suffered against Monza, the Dane carried out instrumental tests which highlighted a lesion in his left thigh, which will keep him out of action for at least a month,” they wrote.
Forgotten Leeds United man has no future
When Rasmus Kristensen joined the club as a right-back, there was an expectation that his energy and quality could help take the club up a level to become a Premier League regular.
But instead he failed to hold down a place as a regular in his natural position, got fielded as a centre-back on occasion and helped the team get relegated with a string of below par performances.
With that said, he then jumped at the first opportunity he had to be able to leave Elland Road and go elsewhere and has found becoming a regular at Roma difficult also.

With 16 starts and nine substitute appearances this season he has fallen in and out of the side, with Roma underperforming also and Jose Mourinho getting the sack.
It’s pretty clear that even if he doesn’t stay at Roma next season, the chances of a return to Elland Road are slim. He’s a forgotten man and isn’t good enough for Daniel Farke’s side or the Premier League.
In other Leeds news, this key duo are set to be axed in the predicted lineup for the clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
