Leeds United: Raphinha caught on video at Barcelona as paperwork signed off this afternoon

Leeds United officially signed off the paperwork with Barcelona for the deal to take Raphinha to Spain this afternoon (15 July), according to Phil Hay.

The deal has now been confirmed with the Brazilian well into the process of completing all of the formalities before being introduced to the fans at the Nou Camp.

The Whites have finally confirmed everything, and they have moved quickly to bring in their replacement with Luis Sinisterra making his debut against Brisbane Roar.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Hay shared the key details from the past couple of hours as the deal was finally completed between the two clubs.

“Contract between Leeds United and Barcelona officially signed off this afternoon,” he wrote.

“Raphinha already well into the process of completing the formalities in Spain. Finally a done deal.”

Last minute.

Once again, it looked as though Barcelona were cutting it very fine.

With the paperwork only being officially signed off in the last couple of hours, they must have been very confident of that actually happening given they had everything set up for his unveiling.

Raphinha looked delighted, and we are genuinely pleased for him, but dealing with Barcelona is something that we would not recommend to anyone.

It would have been no surprise if this one would have been collapsed, but we are glad that this whole saga has finally come to an end, and we can all move on.

Now it is all about Sinisterra and how he can perform to replace the burden of Raphinha and what he gave us down that right-hand side.

Thank you for the memories, and the best part of this despite it being a cheaper deal is that we won’t have to see him tormenting us in the Premier League next season and beyond.
