Andrea Radrizzani to have key say on Jesse Marsch sack at Leeds United this week

Andrea Radrizianni and Paraag Marathe are set to have a key say on whether or not Leeds United sack manager Jesse Marsch this week, according to the Daily Mail.

The report also claims that West Brom head coach Carlos Corberan is emerging as a potential replacement for Marsch should he leave West Yorkshire.

Marsch and Leeds United suffered another Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest on 5 February, one which has mounted further pressure on the American.

“Carlos Corberan is emerging as a potential candidate to replace Jesse Marsch should Leeds United decide to make a managerial change,” as quoted by the Daily Mail. (5 February)

“Owner Andrea Radrizzani and Paraag Marathe, the president of investors 49ers Enterprises, will be the men that have the key say on Marsch’s future this week.

“Corberan, the West Bromwich Albion manager, was admired for his work at Leeds as a coach alongside Marcelo Bielsa and proved himself as a manager by taking Huddersfield Town to the Championship playoffs.”

Yank Lampard?

Marsch got the backing he craved in January and signings have come into the club that have undoubtedly bolstered the squad yet bad results continue to happen.

His record away from home has been poor ever since he left RB Salzburg, winning just four of his 23 league away games for RB Leipzig and Leeds United.

It’s getting hard to make an argument for the American to stay at Elland Road and the loss against Nottingham Forest could be the writing on the wall for a sacking.

It’s all well and good playing attractive football and having more possession but Forest were by no means great either yesterday, yet they still managed to get three points.

Marcelo Bielsa was sacked for a worse record than Marsch has now in his last 17 games in charge and maybe this is all you need to know in this matter.

It’s starting to look like Marsch simply isn’t good enough to take this team forward to brighter days, something that has been a concern to fans for some time now.
