Leeds United quest to sign Giannis Konstantelias depends on one condition

Leeds United are reportedly keen on signing PAOK attacking midfielder Giannis Konstantelias amid interest from Chelsea and AC Milan.

According to Inside Futbol [20 February], Milan have already tabled a multi-million offer for the 19-year-old who won the Greek Cup in 2020/21.

However, if Leeds are to sign him, the only way it’s likely to happen is if they manage to avoid relegation this season.

Forget about it

Leeds cannot be thinking about transfers in the summer when they are facing such an uncertain future in the Premier League.

For the second season in a row, they appear to be heading towards a relegation battle and may not have the game changers like Raphinha to bail them out.

They’ve also not yet sorted out their managerial situation and we do not think Michael Skubala is the answer to get them out of this.

They need someone who’s been in this situation before or one who’s got the experience of being successful in the Premier League or bigger clubs outside the United Kingdom.

Lots of names have been thrown around, but the hierarchy needs to make a quick decision on it as the games are not going to stop.

They did not have a plan for the Everton game and lost that one and could suffer a similar fate against Southampton if they fail to get their act together.
