Leeds United push hard to sign Club Brugge star Noa Lang

Leeds United have been pushing hard to sign Club Brugge forward Noa Lang in recent weeks, according to Voetbal Nieuws.

The Belgian news outlet claims that after winning the league title, Brugge have seen a number of their star players linked with moves away.

Brugge manager Philippe Clement has spoken out about speculation surrounding the likes of 22-year-old Lang and has warned any prospective buyers that it will take a big offer to land the Dutch forward.

“Today we are in a different situation,” said Clement, as quoted by Voetbal Nieuws. “We can now refuse certain offers.

“Our strong [players] will only leave for really large amounts.”

As expected

At the end of the day, if Lang is a good player, then his manager is going to come out and demand a large sum of money for him.

Lang had a stunning season at Brugge.

He was on loan there from Ajax but has since made the move permanent for obvious reasons as he scored 17 goals and supplied 11 assists in 37 total appearances.

Brugge won the Belgian league title and Lang was huge in that, winning the talent of the year award in the process.

GVA has previously reported that Brugge want over £21.4million for Lang and if he’s someone who Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta feel can really add to the squad at Elland Road then they should probably pay up.

Raphinha was £17million and a bit older than Lang so there’s not really too much difference between the two.

In other Leeds United news, Bielsa has opened the door for this ex-Whites man to return to Elland Road.
