Leeds United promotion verdict shared by Alan Brazil on talkSPORT, Championship winner named
Leeds United are going to be hard to stop in the Championship this season, according to talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil.
Brazil did, however, claim that Leicester City have already won the title, with the Foxes currently top of the standings.
Leicester have 78 points to their name, with Leeds in second place with 66 points, with both clubs having played 32 matches.
“I think Leeds have got so much momentum at the moment,” Brazil said live on talkSPORT. “They’re going to be hard to stop. But don’t write Saints off. Leicester have won it, but don’t write Saints off.
Leeds United looking good
Leeds really are looking strong under manager Daniel Farke, with the issues of last season all but vanishing at Elland Road.
Their stunning run of form continued with a 4-0 win at Swansea City on Tuesday (13 February), in a superb night for the Whites given how Southampton lost 3-1 at Bristol City.
That was a shock defeat for the Saints, who now sit third in the Championship table with 64 points to their name, although they do have a game in hand over Leicester and Leeds.
Ipswich Town meanwhile surely cannot be ruled out of any promotion talk, with the Tractor Boys in fourth place on 60 points.
Moreover, they have two games in hand over the top two, and will be well back in contention with two wins from those matches.

A return to the Premier League won’t be on the mind of Farke just yet, but perhaps Leeds fans are already dreaming of being back in the big time.
