Leeds United primed to announce new manager, could happen in days

Leeds United are now primed to announce the appointment of their new manager at Elland Road, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The newspaper has reported on its website that the club will confirm their new manager once the EFL fully ratify the takeover of the 49ers Enterprises.

It is said that the club are hopeful that will happen within days with no issues or complications expected from the investors involved in the bid.

With the hope that it could come within days, there is a suggestion it could happen before the weekend, or at least the start of next week in West Yorkshire.

The Leeds squad returns to pre-season on Sunday 2 July, with most of the players expected back apart from those who have had international duty.

Finally.

Leeds fans are really starting to get restless after watching Leicester and Southampton start to make their moves with new managers at the helm.

Of course, there is nothing that the 49ers can do apart from wait, although it is really becoming agonising for those watching on with pre-season starting on Sunday.

Daniel Farke is expected to be the man to take over and with transfer news starting to filter from Elland Road, you would have to imagine that positive noises are starting to emerge.

With the takeover and new manager wrapped up and announced, that then leaves a busy month of transfer action before the Championship season starts.

It would be perfect to get this sorted before Sunday, giving whoever takes charge the chance of a full pre-season before starting with Cardiff at home.

Leeds are primed, here we go.
