Leeds United Premier League relegation prediction shared as Tony Dorigo names points tally needed
Tony Dorigo believes it’s “perfectly sensible” to think that Leeds United will reach 38 points this season and stay in the Premier League.
The Whites are one of several clubs involved in a fierce relegation battle in the bottom half of the table.
But Leeds title winner Dorigo thinks the club are more than capable of getting nine more points from their remaining games, with those points being enough to secure safety.

“I’m still looking at 38 points for me,” BT Sport pundit Dorigo told the Yorkshire Evening Post. “I think that 38 will just be okay but whatever points you are talking about, it’s not comfortable is it?
“You are going to be going right up to that last game wondering who is doing what and where. But I think 38 should just about get the job done and, looking at the fixtures, if we play to our maximum, then that’s perfectly sensible that we will get those.
“But we have to play well and of course you have to deserve your spot to stay in the Premier League. I think even beforehand there were no illusions and now I suppose we should be doubled down to say, ‘right, it’s going to be a real fight here and we need everyone on board and going in the same direction to get what we need.'”

Nerves kicking in
Leeds have been continuing their unpredictable nature in recent times, defeating the likes of Nottingham Forest and Wolves but losing heavily against clubs such as Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
The defeat against the league leaders will not have come as much of a surprise and fans will therefore not ponder that one too much, but the 5-1 home loss to Palace was an absolute shock.
That humiliation will definitely have many Leeds fans fearing for their safety this season, with the club running out of favourable games to pick up points in.
There are, however, a handful of matches that manager Javi Gracia will pinpoint as must-win games, including meetings with relegation-threatened Leicester, Bournemouth and West Ham.
It really does look like going right down to the wire at the bottom of the table, in what is a fantastic scenario for neutrals but a disastrous one for the clubs involved.
In other Leeds United news, Manchester City youngster Shea Charles’s pathway to the first team is blocked, with the Whites reportedly wanting to sign the midfielder this summer.
