Klich dropped: Leeds United predicted XI v Tottenham after Bielsa team news

Robin Koch is expected to return for Leeds United when they welcome Tottenham to Elland Road on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa delivered his team news to the media today [25 February] and confirmed that after suffering a head injury against Manchester United at the weekend, the 25-year-old German is available to return against Spurs.

Diego Llorente is also available. However, we predict that he’ll start on the bench due to a hamstring issue keeping him out of the loss at Liverpool and Bielsa may want to avoid risking a recurrence of that.

In total, MOT Leeds News predicts Bielsa will make just one change and that’s to reintroduce Koch to the starting line-up.

As he may go into the defensive midfield position, it means that Mateusz Klich could be axed from the centre of the park.

Away from that one change, we predict Illan Meslier to start in goals behind a back-four of Stuart Dallas, Luke Ayling, Pascal Struijk and Junior Firpo.

Koch could start in the deep midfield role – which may allow Bielsa to switch to a back-three if Spurs are threatening up front – and he could be joined by Adam Forshaw and Rodrigo.

Leeds’ attack may remain unchanged.

Raphinha could start on the right-wing, Jack Harrison may start on the left-back and we predict that once again, Daniel James will spearhead the attack in the lone striker role.

Leeds have a big chance to pile more misery upon Tottenham after they lost to Burnley on Wednesday night.

Burnley’s win meant 15th-placed Leeds are now just three points clear of the Premier League’s relegation zone while Spurs are eighth and have lost four of their last five league outings.
