Leeds United plotting summer move for Wolves winger Adama Traore

Leeds United are plotting a summer transfer bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore, according to 90min.

Whites head coach Marcelo Bielsa is a huge fan of the Spanish international winger, and reckons he could shine under his style at Elland Road.

Traore, 25, has Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United all keen on him, but Leeds are leading the race.

He wants to leave Wolves ahead of 2021-22, and a desire to play under Bielsa and his relationship with director of football Victor Orta could make that happen.

Top player

Traore has only scored seven Premier League goals and assisted 12 others in 103 games, and it is not a return that is particularly impressive.

However, we all know what the academy graduate from the famous Barcelona’s La Masia is capable of doing on his day.

Traore regularly leaves defenders in his wake due to his mesmerising skills and unmatched electric pace, and Leeds could do with such a player.

Bielsa can see what the Spaniard can become once he is a finished article, and is indeed likely interested in turning this gem into the world-class star that he has the potential to become.

Wolves could be forced to sell him with only two years left on his deal.

Traore is not keen on an extension from the look of things, and Orta can make something work out.

The Leeds chief brought the winger to Middlesbrough from Aston Villa, and a reunion could be on the cards.

The world has seen Bielsa turn Kalvin Phillips into an England international, with Patrick Bamford’s growth also recognised by Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate.

Traore would love to become a star for Spain after playing very little at the European Championship, and he knows he can become better under the tutelage of Bielsa at Leeds.

We reckon this could be the perfect transfer, but getting a deal done could prove difficult.
