Leeds United player ratings v Manchester United: Crysenscio Summerville shines, Jack Harrison disappoints
Leeds United suffered a 2-0 defeat against Manchester United when the two sides met at Elland Road on Sunday, 12 February.
The game was goalless for the majority of it, but burst into action late into the second half with Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho scoring goals for the visitors.
Despite having a number of first-team players missing, Manchester United managed to secure a key away win.

Here are our player ratings for the game:
Illan Meslier – 5
Made an important save when Bruno Fernandes was clean through on goal. Had he not stopped it, the hosts would’ve gone into the break losing 1-0. Not much he could’ve done to stop Rashford from breaking the deadlock late on in the contest.
Luke Ayling – 7
Captained the team and did a wonderful job at it. Defended more than he normally would’ve liked to, but he stepped up to the occasion and delivered. He won eight tackles on the day and shut out the left flank for the visitors, so much so that they had to swap wingers in order to find the back of the net. Once the deadlock was broken, there was not much that he could do.
Robin Koch – 6
Did his job defensively and was also good at finding attackers willing to run into space behind the opposition defence. He had a mature performance and proved why he’s arguably the best centre-back at the club.
Max Wober – 4
Not the best of games for the summer signing who lost a key aerial duel and looked off the pace during the game. It’s still early days, but he’s going to have to up his game if he is to be a regular in this Leeds side.

Junior Firpo -5
Known to be an attacking full-back, Firpo rarely stepped beyond the halfway line. Patrick Bamford surely would’ve loved to have someone like him crossing the ball to him and that unfortunately for Leeds, did not happen.
Weston McKennie – 5
Was some way away from the performance he put in at Old Trafford where Leeds won 2-2. The Whites did dominate the midfield for the majority of the game, but McKennie lost more duels than he won and made some needless challenges as well.
Tyler Adams – 6
The American was up for the task and did well to assert his dominance on a weakened Manchester United midfield. He won both of his aerial duels and for a large part of the game, ensuring that the opposition attackers were at bay.
Crysencio Summerville -7
Was the most dangerous Leeds player in the first half and if they were to have scored, he would’ve surely played a part in it. Proved to be a constant thorn in the Man United side. Had another good chance in the 78th minute, but David de Gea was there to deny him.
Jack Harrison – 3
Did not have the best of games and was rightly taken off with 20 minutes to go. Bar the moment where he showed Harry Maguire stars in broad daylight, it was a relatively quiet game for the Englishman. He misplaced half of his attempted passes, completed just two out of eight crosses and lost every aerial duel and most of his duels on the ground as well. [Sofascore]

Willy Gnonto – 6
Constantly reminded everyone of just how much of a bargain he’s been for Leeds. Each time he had the ball, the Manchester United players looked to be extra cautious as they were well aware of the threats he poses. Was unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet.
Patrick Bamford – 4
Struggled to get involved too much in the build-up play and would not have been pleased by the fact that he missed a big chance. Didn’t take advantage of the opponents missing both their first-choice centre-backs.
