Leeds United planning attacking raid in January transfer market
Leeds United are planning a raid in the January transfer window and will look to bring in two attackers, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The Whites are in need of a transfer fix-up with a centre-forward arguably being the highest of priorities on the list for the West Yorkshire club.
Nevertheless, Jones believes that Marsch will make a swoop for not one but two attackers in the January transfer window to potentially save his job.
“I think he’ll sign two different sorts of attackers in the next window,” said Jones as quoted by GIVEMESPORT.
“Who these guys are could basically determine whether Marsch stays in the job there or not, so he’s got to get the right man.”
Buying a centre-forward to challenge the injury-prone Patrick Bamford is definitely a must for Leeds United in January but there is an area of concern that is arguably more pressing.
The club’s current defence is in tatters and needs a massive wake-up call when Premier League action resumes, it simply isn’t good enough at the moment.
Defensive reinforcements would be more than welcomed in January, specifically a left-back who is comfortable playing in the position.
Leeds have been leaking goals in recent games and unfortunately, this could be the teams undoing as they head into a crowded jam-packed fixture schedule.
The Whites’ attack at the moment has actually been decent, so there is no real need for two different attackers to come in, one would definitely suffice.
As ever, transfer rumours with Leeds are never set in stone until the player arrives at Elland Road with the White shirt in his grasp.
Until then, fans will have to wait and see who the club opts to bring in during January, hopefully, it’s a transfer blitz.
