Leeds United: Phil Hay shares Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray injury update
Daniel Farke has reassured Leeds United fans that both Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville are okay after the pair went off injured in the 2-0 win against Millwall, according to Phil Hay.
The Athletic journalist reported via his X account on 17 March that Farke’s assessment was that Gray’s ankle looks okay and Summerville doesn’t have a serious problem.
Summerville in particular was the victim of some strong challenges during the game as Millwall looked to impose themselves on Leeds, but to no avail.
Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray injury news emerges
The news that both players ultimately seem unscathed despite initial scares will come as a huge relief to all involved at Elland Road from the fans to Farke himself given their importance to the first team under his guidance this season.
Summerville has been widely regarded as one of the most important players in this team and one of the best in the Championship this season given his record of 15 goals and eight assists from 35 games in the league alone.
Gray, meanwhile, at just 17 years old, has thrived in his debut season at Elland Road, establishing himself as a key player across multiple positions and becoming a mainstay for Farke at his boyhood club.
Both players have been linked with possible exits in the summer, but if Leeds can achieve promotion perhaps even by winning the Championship, they will give themselves the best chance of keeping hold of their star men.
