Leeds United got green light for Tyler Adams transfer after glowing scouting reports - Phil Hay

Leeds United got given the green light to sign Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig after a series of glowing scouting reports, according to the Athletic’s Phil Hay.

Adams has shined bright for Leeds this season with many claiming his maturity and class put him in firm contention to be a future captain of the Whites.

Hay confessed that a consecutive scouting report from Alberto Cordero effectively gave the green light to sign the “dynamic” Adams.

“Dynamic in all his movements, a very fast player in small spaces, perfectly prepared to carry out continuous pressing in different areas, constantly generates continuity in his passes, able to carry the ball into attacking zones with great precision and speed, simple and correct, generates effort,” said Cordero as quoted by The Athletic.

“Cordero’s assessment continued in that vein before concluding that Adams was tailor-made for countryman Jesse Marsch’s Elland Road midfield, the opposite of a shrinking violet,” Hay concluded.

Bright future.

Adams certainly has a bright future at Elland Road and this has been confirmed by him being named his country’s FIFA World Cup captain.

The midfielder has been fierce in the engine room for the Whites since joining the club from RB Leipzig and is living up to the hype surrounding his name.

He’s clicked into Marsch’s pressing machine with ease and is arguably the one player who fully gets what his compatriot is trying to achieve with his wild tactics.

The American isn’t just a workhorse though, he has an intelligence to his game that is wise beyond his years and this is something Leeds can reap the rewards of.

Some would say he’s been Leeds United’s signing of the summer so far and it’s hard to argue against those holding Adams’s name up high.

Unfortunately, Adams’ solid outings will warrant attention from some of Europe’s biggest teams but the Whites should do everything they can to keep hold of him.
