Leeds United partner sends Andrea Radrizzani jibe as takeover news emerges
Official Leeds United partners Boost Energy drinks took to Twitter to launch a fresh new jibe at club majority owner Andrea Radrizzani after fresh takeover news emerged on Tuesday [6 June].
According to the Daily Mail, Leeds and the 49ers Enterprises are closing in on a takeover agreement with the American-based group valuing the club at a total price of £170million.
Radrizzani, 48, is understood to be willing to pass over control of Leeds to the 49ers, who already owned a 44% stake in the club.

After the debacle of Radrizzani’s Sampdoria bid and his use of Elland Road as a security for any potential deal, Leeds official partners Boost Drinks [6 June] hilariously took aim at Radrizzani – through a GIF – as they advertised the new Apple Vision Pro.
They tweeted: “Me diving through the TV to throttle Leeds United’s Radrizzani with the new Apple Vision Pro.”
Majority feeling
After news emerged over the past week surrounding Radrizzani’s baffling use of Elland Road as security – or as some may call it, collateral – for any potential takeover over Italian outfit Sampdoria, the majority of the Leeds United will be looking to throttle the majority owner too.
Such actions only lead the Leeds United fans to think whether he actually cares about the football club, and why he’s so quick to jump ship to Sampdoria.

Is there something wrong with the club behind the scenes that he’s clearly running away from? It’s arguably his continuous failures at Elland Road.
The takeover between the 49ers and Radrizzani has been seemingly going on for an age, but it finally looks as though the Italian is willing to relinquish his control of the club which comes as some pleasing news to the Leeds United faithful, and even the club’s official partners after their hilarious tweet.
The club have been in desperate need of change at boardroom level for a long while and the news could not come at a better time for the club as they prepare themselves for a gruelling 2023/24 Championship campaign.
The question for the 49ers now is, can they stump the required funds and resources to achieve a swift Premier League promotion this time next year?
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that a Whites senior player is now set to leave the club at a discounted fee post relegation and will not be signing a new contract.
