After Leeds United confirmed two moves on Saturday, it wouldn’t have been a surprise to see the Whites become quiet.
The opposite has happened, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Leeds are now “seriously interested” in Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul.
Sky Sports Italy journalist Romano shared that the Argentine is valued up to £31.2million, with talks underway between the two clubs.
Gianluca Di Marzio has shared a further update on the midfielder, claiming that Leeds owners are now in London.
The Sky Sports journalist shared that they are in the capital with Udinese owner Gino Pozzo looking to find a final agreement for the 26-year-old.
It is suggested that de Paul could be the perfect signing for Marcelo Bielsa, who is looking for a midfielder who can add serious goal involvements in the Premier League.
This is exciting.
If Radrizzani can find a way to get this deal over the line, he could become even more of a hero in West Yorkshire – something we thought would be impossible.
Leeds would be bringing in one of the Serie A’s best midfielders if they can secure this move, with his goal involvements exceptional.
Since the beginning of the 18/19 season, de Paul has been involved in 30 goals – the most of any midfielder in Italy – ahead of the likes of Radja Nainggolan.
With talks underway in London, this is certainly another to watch this week.
