Leeds United on high alert amid Regis le Bris development on Monday morning

Regis le Bris appears to have added fuel to the fire of the speculation of him being the next Leeds United manager.

The Lorient manager failed to show up for pre-season training on Monday, 3 July, after admitting he wants to leave. [Ouest France – 3 July]

Recently, claimed that the Whites are trying hard once again in order to appoint him as their next manager.

NNN journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter reported on Twitter, “Stade Brestois tries Fabien Centonze.

“Lorient very very strongly wants Franck Honorat but competition is fierce.

“Leeds are attacking Lorient again to secure the services of their coach, Regis Le Bris.”

By the looks of it, it seems like le Bris is the backup for Leeds in case the move for Daniel Farke falls through at the last minute.

There seems to be no reason why that move won’t go through as the German is currently out of work and has previously excelled in the Championship.

He was responsible twice for getting Norwich back to the Premier League and it makes sense for Leeds to go all out for him.

The new owners will primarily want to get promoted the first time of asking as they always aimed to take over a Premier League club.

These things are, however, not finalised until the dotted lines are signed so while an announcement is not made, it makes sense to test the waters with other managers.

Le Bris’ recent actions suggest a move away from the French club appears to be on the cards.

In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
