Leeds United offer Calvin Ramsay quicker route to first team than Liverpool
Leeds United will reportedly offer Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay a quicker route to the first team than Liverpool.
According to the Athletic, the 18-year-old will make a decision about his future in the coming weeks and see what’s better for him.
Norwich and Sassuolo are also among the clubs interested in signing the Scottish defender this summer.
Elland Road bound?
The report says that Leeds are better suited for Ramsay if he wants to play regular first-team football.
Luke Ayling appears to be on the decline while Stuart Dallas also seems more comfortable in other positions.
Jamie Shackleton has been deployed at right-back but even he prefers to play as a central midfielder.
His injury record has also been woeful, which makes it imperative for Leeds to sign a right-back this summer.
Cody Drameh may be retained after a successful loan spell but it’s nice to have him compete for his spot in the team and Ramsay could hit the ground running in the Premier League.
He’s an extremely attacking right-back and will be a fascinating addition for the Whites as they love their full-backs to bomb forward.
What this means for Ayling’s future is anyone’s guess but whoever has watched him regularly this season, knows that he’s just at that level anymore and he could fall down the pecking order or even be sold by the Whites this summer.
