Leeds United now submit proposal to Arne Slot after double rejection
Leeds United have now submitted an official proposal for Feyenoord manager Arne Slot, who is now the preferred candidate to succeed Jesse Marsch, according to The Independent.
The board have identified the 44-year-old as their number one target after missing out on Carlos Corberan and Rayo Vallecano manager Andoni Iraola.
The Independent suggest (9 February) Slot’s aggressive style of play interests the board at Elland Road and it’s understood they are “intent” on taking their interest to the next stage.

Most likely
At this stage, a move for Slot seems the most likely route for the board to go down, although it remains to be seen whether the Dutch coach will be willing to leave the Eredivisie leaders. Leeds’ are an attractive proposition, but it’s a concern to hear of potential manager candidates turning the chance down.
Could there be an issue with what they’re being offered by the club? This appointment is absolutely vital and the board need to strike a balance when choosing their next head coach. Results are required quickly but there also has to be a focus on the long-term ambition of the club.

The draw against Manchester United has potentially bought the board a little more time. Michael Skubala has shown he can put a competitive side out and will fancy his chance of picking up another positive result on Sunday when United make the trip to West Yorkshire.
