Sky Sports pundit raves about Leeds United loanee Jack Harrison after what he did for Everton
Gary Rowett hailed Leeds United loanee Jack Harrison for his “excellent” display for Everton in the first half of their meeting with Manchester City.
Harrison opened the scoring for the Toffees in Wednesday’s (27 December) Premier League clash at Goodison Park.
As footage shared by Amazon Prime on Twitter shows, the 27-year-old fired home from close range after being picked out by Dwight McNeil.
Reacting to the goal on Sky Sports News [27 December, 20:52pm], Rowett said: “Harrison has been excellent. He’s popping up in areas where he can cause problems.”
Hold his head up high
Leeds suffered a big blow when losing Harrison in the summer transfer window, especially given it was only a loan deal.
Some Everton fans have grown frustrated by the 27-year-old in recent weeks, but his goal against Man City will do him the world of good.
That is now two goals and three assists in 12 Premier League appearances this season – the type of form he showed at Elland Road.
This latest goal involvement may have come in a defeat for his side, but Harrison could hold his head up high at full-time.

Leeds fans will dream of having a player of his quality back at the club next season, but the only way that will happen is if we are promoted.
The more likely outcome is Everton find the funds to land him permanently, and his stats certainly suggest they should do just that.
As frustrating as it is to see him performing well in the Premier League while Leeds are in the Championship, you cannot begrudge him his second chance.
