Sky Sports pundit ‘angry’ with Patrick Bamford despite Leeds United striker apology
Asmir Begovic is “still angry” at Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford after an incident involving the two players during the recent win over QPR.
Leeds saw off their Championship rivals 1-0 at Elland Road on 4 October thanks to an early Crysencio Summerville goal.
QPR goalkeeper Begovic was sent off late on after being adjudged to have brought down Bamford outside the penalty area.

However, replays showed there was limited contact – if any – and QPR successfully appealed the red card decision.
Asked about that incident by David Prutton while working as a pundit for Stoke City versus Leeds on Sky Sports Main Event [25 October, 07:54pm], Begovic said: “He apologised.”
Asked if the two are “best friends again”, Begovic added: “We’ve known each other from the past and we put it right after the game. But I’m still angry.”
“Ashamed”
The FA’s decision to overturn the red card awarded to Begovic backed up the view of many that Bamford went to ground without any contact being made on him.
If that was the case, you have to wonder exactly why he did not just stay on his feet and put the ball in the back of the net.
To add insult to injury for QPR, they had already used all their allocated substitutions and therefore had to stick striker Lyndon Dykes in goal for the closing stages.
It was a decision that Tim Sherwood hit out at on Sky Sports News at the time, with the former Tottenham manager saying Bamford should be “ashamed” of his actions.

QPR fans went a step further by setting up a petition calling for the former Chelsea player to be banned from professional football.
Both players have now moved on from it all, though, even if Begovic is not ready to fully accept Bamford’s apology.
In other Leeds United news, one player achieved a five-year first with what he did last weekend.
