Leeds United new round-up: Daniel Farke wants Under-20 World Cup star as exciting contract talks are hinted
Leeds United are set for a busy period as Premier League football returns this week.
With the end of October already closing in, the Peacocks are aiming to keep their head above the relegation zone.
While Leeds have started their season off well, much could depend on how they perform in the upcoming transfer window.
As transfer rumours continue to fly around, MOT Leeds News has highlighted all of the new stories from the past 24 hours below.

Lisandru Olmeta wanted by Leeds United
With the Under 20s World Cup currently ongoing, it would be unwise for Leeds not to have one eye on the tournament.
There are plenty of great upcoming stars in action, including Lisandru Olmeta for France.
The goalkeeper heavily featured throughout the tournament until they were knocked out to Morocco on penalties.
Now, Leeds have reportedly contacted Olmeta’s representatives over a potential move.

The youngster currently plays for Lille but is on loan to SC Bastia.
Harry Gray set for new contract at Leeds
Another youngster with an exciting future is Harry Gray.
The 17-year-old played a squad role at Leeds last season as they reached the Premier League.
However, with other clubs such as Tottenham sniffing around the young striker, the pressure was on Daniel Farke to secure his future.
Now, speaking ahead of the Burnley game, Farke has hinted that Gray will sign a new contract at Leeds.
“Normally we just speak about business when it’s done.
“That’s one of my principles. Harry is still out of team training at the moment with his hip, I’m expecting him back next week.

“And of course behind the scenes we are trying to build our squad for the future and with players that attract us, Harry is a very good player and I expect very positive news in the future. It makes sense when you announce a contract when he is fit and available.”
Gabby Agbonlahor defends Daniel Farke after Leeds start
Despite Leeds’ solid start to the campaign, questions are still being asked of Farke.
The Peacocks are still far from safe and are now winless in their last two matches.
With Burnley up next, things could easily turn sour if the manager does not pick up a win.
However, Gabby Agbonlahor has defender Farke, believing that the German should not come under any sack pressure in the coming weeks.
- Leeds considered sacking Farke after their promotion
- The German has traditionally been poor in the Premier League
- However, he has overseen a solid start for Leeds this season
“No, I don’t,“ the former Aston Villa striker told talkSPORT on Friday. “No. I feel like, how tight it’s going to be down there… West Ham are still going to be down there.
“Wolves are still down there. Nottingham Forest could still be down there, Brentford, seven points. I just think what he’s doing there with Leeds, they look competitive every single game.
“Even the Spurs game they lost, was it 2-1? They looked competitive in that game, they could’ve got an equaliser as well. So I don’t think Daniel Farke is under any pressure.“
