Leeds United need to use Stuart Dallas injury to ‘inspire’ survival bid – Eddie Gray
Leeds United are in desperate need of results in the Premier League as recent events has closed the gap to the drop zone to just two points.
Everton, the club directly below the Whites, also have a game in hand ahead of the final run-in and the tough tests keep on coming with Arsenal the opponents this weekend.
Club icon Eddie Gray thinks that the Whites need to use the blow of losing Stuart Dallas to injury to inspire them to a resurgence and the safety of 17th after 38 games played.

“I just hope it inspires the group to go out and do it for Stuart because he’s such an important member of the squad,” Gray said, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“Hopefully it’s a game we can go and get some sort of result,” he said about Sunday’s match up with Arsenal.
“It’s come to the stage of the season now, you don’t need a scientist, you look at the league table, we’re in a position where we need to pick points up, the quicker the better.”
Fight
Jesse Marsch might be the kind of coach who likes to play tactical mind games but in the precarious position Leeds are in, there is no room for that right now.
The more he tries to be clever on the tactics whiteboard in the dressing room, the more detached his players will end up becoming and he needs them to be actively invested in the survival bid.

For the first time in Marsch’s managerial career, tactics aren’t enough to win games and pick up the necessary points to beat the drop so he needs to get his troops ready to fight in the trenches.
It is far too often overlooked just how far passion can get a team when they have their backs against the wall but the evidence is there for everyone to see.
You only have to look at Leicester City’s miraculous escape in the 2014/15 season to see what a united team can do and they went on to win the Premier League the following year.
Something like that probably won’t happen to Leeds United (never say never) but they need to harness that same unified spirit to keep their heads above water and send Everton down.
In other Leeds United news, this Elland Road star looks likely to be heading for the exit door with negotiations favouring the purchasing club.
