Leeds United mutually terminated contract of Chris Armas amid back-office development
Leeds United reportedly parted ways with Chris Armas via mutual termination after his stint in the Elland Road back office.
According to LeedsLive journalist Beren Cross, the former Manchester United coach is no longer at Leeds and will not be part of the new manager’s coaching staff.
Armas was brought to the club by Jesse Marsch who list his job in February after a dismal run of results stretching all the way back to the pre World Cup break.

Cross wrote on 30 June, “Armas has now left, yes. He went into a back office role for a short while, but I understand his contract has been mutually terminated.”
Good riddance
Armas was ridiculed at Manchester United by their fans for not doing enough for the first team when he was under Ralf Rangnick.
The same thing followed at Leeds and it seems like he was just on their payroll because he was someone Marsch rated highly.
Even after the American was sacked, it was not Armas who was handed the reins of the first team which shows how highly his coaching acumen was regarded at Elland Road.

It’s evident that the Whites are better off with Armas’ expertise or lack of and they need to move forward and trust the coaches the next manager brings in.
By the looks of it, the new man in charge will be Daniel Farke and he’s got a set of trusted henchmen he’s’ worked with in the past.
There’s a good chance he brings a similar backroom staff with him to Elland Road and he deserves it as he’s the one who got Norwich two promotions.
In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
