Leeds United may have plenty of attackers at their disposal but they would not turn down the chance to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

In 2021, the then Rubin Kazan winger confirmed that he was in talks with the Whites over a potential move to Elland Road.

As we know, that move did not pan out and he ended up joining Napoli and has been doing well for them both in the league as well as Champions League.

He told Georgian website Sportall, “There were negotiations with Leeds and it may continue again. I do not like to talk in advance.”

Getting him to leave a Champions League club may be difficult but if he wants the sort of recognition he deserves, then the 21-year-old would want to move to the Premier League.

The fact that he spoke about the supposed talks with Leeds means that he will not be against moving to the Premier League.

If Leeds find him too expensive in January, they can look to make a move in the summer for him on the off chance that Jack Harrison leaves.

The Englishman was linked to Newcastle and Spurs this summer, but the Whites managed to keep hold of his services.

They may not get second time lucky and it does not hurt to have options like Kvaratskhelia waiting in the wings just in case a major exit takes place.

He could also be viewed as an alternative to Cody Gakpo who they tried to sign and failed in the last few days of the transfer window.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites reached an agreement to sign a left-back, according to his agent.
