Leeds United must aim to beat Everton to sign James Tarkowski
Leeds United have been very busy in the transfer window so far, and it promises to get even better as Jesse Marsch wants to rebuild the squad.
The Whites should look to bolster their centre-back areas, and must go hell for leather for James Tarkowski.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, Everton are confident of signing free agent Tarkowski once he returns from holidays, but could face competition from Leeds.
The 29-year-old is expected to be in demand this summer, with several Premier League clubs vying for his signature.
He is an experienced Premier League defender who is now a free agent following the expiry of his contract at Burnley.
The centre-back is one area where Leeds are apparently well stocked.

They have got Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente, Robin Koch and Pascal Struijk while Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling can also fill in when required.
And yet they had one of the worst defensive records in the league last season. On top of that, key players kept on missing games, leaving the defence exposed and fragile.
Thus, adding another quality centre-back won’t do any harm to the side, rather, it will only add depth and quality to the squad.
Both Koch and Struijk are versatile enough to play in midfield, and Jesse Marsch will have loads of options at his disposal even if some players get injured.
Leeds are looking to add more bodies to their squad this summer, a strategy completely different from the Marcelo Bielsa era where the Argentine was happy to have a small pool of players.
It won’t be easy to get Tarkowski, but he would be a stellar signing if the Whites can pull it off.
In other Leeds United news, Chelsea have appeared on the radar as a club which might spell more trouble for the Whites this summer.
