Leeds United move for Scott Parker mooted by Sky Sports pundit as Premier League connections discussed
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson believes Scott Parker’s Premier League connections make him a suitable manager to take over at Leeds United.
The Telegraph reported on 2 June that the former Bournemouth and Fulham boss was under consideration for the job in West Yorkshire.
Robinson has since reacted to the news and believes the 42-year-old would be an appointment for Angus Kinnear and the board.

“Scott Parker is an appointment I’d be very pleased with. He’s an excellent leader on the field and that’s been converted to the dressing room,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“Scott, similar to Steven Gerrard will have connections at big Premier League clubs, where he could use the loan market to his advantage.
“You look at Vincent Kompany and Michael Carrick, that’s a risk you take. He’s a young and up-and-coming manager who will be very well-backed by the fans.

“He’s a young fledgling manager – any experience he’s had before will stand him in great stead.”
Parker has been promoted twice from the second tier and has amassed a win rate of 52% during his 92 Championship matches.
The 42-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by Club Brugge at the start of March.
In other Leeds United news, a BBC pundit has been left stunned as Phil Hay has dropped a fresh update on who the Whites are considering bringing in as manager this summer.
