Leeds United missed a trick with Sean Dyche manager hunt continues – Sky Sports pundit
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton reckons Leeds United “missed a trick” by overlooking Sean Dyche in their search for a new manager.
Dyche took over the reins from Frank Lampard at Goodison Park just before Jesse Marsch was sacked by Leeds United last week.
Prutton confessed that people complaining about how Dyche sets up his team are talking “rubbish” and admitted he’s a manager who can keep teams in the Premier League.

“I think they missed a trick with Sean Dyche, regardless of what you think Sean Dyche is like. I think they missed a trick there,” said Prutton as quoted by the Yorkshire Post. (11 February)
“There will be purists and people spouting nonsense about the way he plays. Rubbish, he can keep teams in the Premier League and that is Leeds’ first port of call. But that’s a very hypothetical situation because he’s gone to Everton now so it doesn’t matter.”

Pressure.
The pressure is mounting on Victor Orta and co to find a suitable replacement for Marsch at Leeds United and the search has been less than impressive so far.
Whoever does end up coming into the ranks at Elland Road will be a gamble by the looks of things, with the club’s first-choice options reportedly going missing.
That means a head coach, being brought in simply to steady the ship and provide Premier League survival is looking ever more likely by the day.
That’s where someone like Dyche would have been ideal but this Leeds team has far too much flare and exuberance to be plagued by dull and uneventful tactics.
Whatever the case, the search is becoming tiresome for all involved and someone seriously needs to be signed and put in place before the must-win clash against Everton.
Much of the Whites season is riding on the results of the next few weeks and whilst fans rejoiced at Marsch’s dismissal not having a decent replacement could prove to be much worse.
