Leeds United fire dig at Millwall in Elland Road announcement
Leeds United will return to the top of the Championship if they avoid defeat against Millwall at Elland Road on Wednesday.
Sheffield United leapfrogged Leeds to top spot thanks to their 1-1 draw with Bristol City on Tuesday, but the Whites have a big opportunity to reverse that when they clash with Millwall.
Meanwhile, fellow promotion chasers Burnley were held to a 1-1 draw with West Brom, and moved to within one point of Daniel Farke’s side.
Leeds have dropped points in two consecutive games, with a draw against West Brom on 1 March before Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at Portsmouth.

Leeds aim dig at Millwall supporters
Millwall have already beaten the Whites in the Championship this campaign, with a 1-0 victory arriving on 6 November thanks to Japhet Tanganga’s goal.
The Lions then emerged victorious at Elland Road in the FA Cup fourth round on 8 February, as Alex Neil’s men defeated Farke’s side 2-0 courtesy of a Femi Azeez brace.
Leeds were in no mood to keep things civil though, already taking a dig at the Lions on X ahead of the game, writing: “With Millwall selling just 391 tickets for [the] clash, an extra allocation has now been made available to Leeds members.”

Leeds must get back to winning ways against Millwall
Farke and co were going exceptionally well in the Championship and went unbeaten in the second tier for three consecutive months in December, January and February.
Leeds also deserve an enormous amount of credit for the back-to-back wins they managed over direct promotion rivals Sunderland and Sheffield United last month.
It seemed as though the West Yorkshire giants were simply coasting towards their spot in next season’s Premier League, but their recent draw against West Brom, followed by their defeat at Portsmouth, has invited Sheffield United and Burnley to breathe down their necks.
Leeds can count themselves lucky that both the Blades and Burnley dropped points on Tuesday, meaning that the Elland Road side can now establish a two-point lead at the top of the table with a win over Millwall on Wednesday.
Crucially, a victory over the Lions would also see Farke’s men sitting four points above the third-place Clarets with just nine games left to play.
Hopefully, the added home support will play a huge role once again.
