Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams relegation transfer clause revealed with exit on cards

Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams reportedly has a release clause of £30million which can be triggered in the event of relegation.

According to Bolavip [29 May], a Premier League club could trigger the clause after the season he’s had at Elland Road since his summer move.

The 24-year-old has been among the best players for Leeds this campaign but missed the last few months due to injury.

The Athletic reported on 29 May that it’s very likely he parts ways with the club in the summer.

Good deal

Getting that kind of money for a player in the Championship will be one of the most expensive second-flight sales of all time.

While Leeds fans and the club would hate to see Adams go, if there’s a clause that’s in his contract, they will be powerless to keep him.

There are going to be no shortage of suitors as he’s only going to get better over the coming seasons and there’s a good reason to believe that £30million is value for money for the American.

However, if he’s desperate to get Leeds back up and does not mind staying a year in the Championship, then he will quickly cement his spot as a cult hero at Elland Road.

He is one player who’s consistently shown that he’s up for the fight this season and it would be great to have him on board for one more campaign.

Most players would first be waiting to see what happens with the ownership and then take a call based on who the new manager is.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that an international player at Elland Road has no place at the club next season and a summer transfer is on the cards.
